Erin Lindemann

Erin has been with MCR for 12 years, taking a pause to live and teach in the Bay Area of California for several years. Her daughter Hazel was a student for the 3 year cycle at MCR before moving on to public Montessori. Althea, Erin’s youngest daughter, is currently a Kindergartener at MCR. Erin enjoys interior design and creating spaces with her husband John, who is an architect. They are continually working on their home in Northside that was built in the early 1900s. Erin also enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. Some of her favorite places have been Turkey, Japan, and Vietnam.

Erin was drawn to Montessori because traditional schooling didn’t feel like the right fit when she was a student herself. She honors the philosophy’s focus on seeing each child as their own person, with their own individual needs. She loves connecting with children and helping them understand tricky concepts in creative ways. Teaching children to read is one of the biggest joys in her life.

Erin went to NKU for English Literature and Creative Writing. After that, she received her Montessori teaching credentials from GGCME (now known as Crescent Ridge). Other fun jobs Erin’s had were working in the infirmary of a convent, being a camp counselor at a farm in Maine, and a summer at the Ohio Renaissance Fair. Erin jokes that she would like her ashes to be spread in the MCR gym because she never wants to leave. The school is her second home.
