Who Are We?
At Montessori Center Room, we are dedicated to fostering a love of learning through the time-honored Montessori philosophy. Our thoughtfully prepared environment encourages children to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace, building independence, confidence, and a strong academic foundation along the way. Through hands-on materials and guided choice, we support the development of practical life skills, critical thinking, early literacy, and foundational math, while nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and sense of responsibility. More than a classroom, Montessori Center Room is a caring community where children are respected, supported, and inspired to thrive both inside and beyond the learning environment.
Who Was Maria Montessori?
Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator, developed a method of teaching based on her scientific observations of young children’s behavior. Her first “Children’s House” was established in Rome in 1907. She found children learned best in a homelike environment filled with developmentally appropriate materials that provide experiences, which contribute to the growth of self-motivated, independent learners. Dr. Montessori carried her message across the globe, including the United States in 1912.
