Application Process

COVID-19 Update: We are currently offering tour M-TH from 9 am - 3 pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Masks are required. If you are interested in touring, please call (513) 321-3282 to make an appointment.

There are three steps to MCR’s enrollment process. These steps can be completed in any order.

  1. An applicant parent must come and tour the school.
  2. An application must be completed and returned to the school.
  3. A non-refundable $500.00 deposit must be paid to hold your child’s spot.

Tours are conducted Monday through Thursday. When scheduling your visit please plan for the following:

  • Allow an hour for your visit
  • Do not bring any children. Parents observe from observation booths which are not meant for children
  • Schedule your tour after October 1 of each school year

Completion dates for each step are recorded. Contracts are offered to new families based on the date when all three steps have been completed. In other words, available spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date that you complete all three steps.

It is our hope that in completing all three steps and through communication with our Teaching Staff and Executive Director, you will gain a good understanding of our philosophy, schedule, and expectations. At the same time, we hope to answer any questions you may have about our program and how it will meet the needs of your child(ren).

Tuition contracts are typically distributed in early March. Currently enrolled children, siblings of currently enrolled children, alumni families, and children of Staff members are given priority. Remaining spaces are filled based on the completion date of the above steps. Once you receive a tuition contract, you will need to return it by the stated deadline. This deposit is non-refundable, but applied to the annual tuition. Once you have signed the tuition contract, you are obligated to pay the entire year of tuition.

BIRTHDAY CUT-OFF DATE:

In order to maintain proper Montessori balance in a 3-year Classroom, enrollment preference/priority will be given to children who are three years old by September 30th. Children whose third birthday is after September 30th will automatically be placed on a waiting list and can not be enrolled prior to July 1st. Families of potential future students may apply at any time. The Executive Director will maintain open communication about availability based on applications received.

A note about enrolling your child for the Kindergarten year: MCR Kindergarten students must have at least one year of experience in a Montessori preprimary Classroom.
